Turnpike From Hell
The New Jersey Turnpike is a wasteland. All sorts of travel inconveniences occur on it. Traffic will come to a dead stop even though there are six lanes available; there are cellular service dead zones; stopping for gas at any of the rest stops results in a 30 minute wait to get to the pumps. Its a freaking nightmare as the above picture can attest to. This is our wait for gas, after 10 minutes had already past. This delay is why we missed our kickball game on Sunday afternoon. Curse you, turnpike!

Sometimes I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion (or whatever the team is called). You should have gotten out and ran (to the tune of Loverboy's "Turn Me Loose")!
Isn't NJ one of those states where you can't pump your own gas? Or am I just insane?
Correct! NJ is one of the states where you can not pump your own gas. Someone from NJ told me it was because the mayor wanted to create more jobs. Someone else told me it was because hoodlums were filling containers with gas, throwing them on attendents and setting them on fire. True story!
