American Dad
Check out this site for the latest from Seth Macfarlane, the Family Guy...guy. I heard whispers that it will premier the week after the Super Bowl on Fox.
You must register at the site to watch the pilot, but I would say it's worth the effort.

I'm not sure it's different enough from Family Guy, at least after first glance. I mean, the German Fish is just Brian in a bowl (and with an accent). The alien was funny, as was the dad, but... perhaps a full-length episode is in order, so that a proper judgment can be made.
Family Guy itself is quite hit-and-miss, but it's a known entity now so that seems okay.
It is quite similar to 'Family Guy'. Because of that, I would think that IF you like that show you would enjoy 'American Dad'. At first I was not a fan of 'Family Guy' but after catching so many episodes on Adult Swim I realized the show possess its own admirable qualities.
