Childhood Home

On our return trip from Winchester we stopped by my childhood home. The wife had only seen it from a distance (the Fairfax County Parkway) previously. I bored her with a brief tour of the neighborhood - pointing our past homes of kids I played with, families I dog-watched for, people my mom has talked about. We parked in front of the house and I described it's layout. The exterior colors are different, the trees are taller and they've covered up one of the gardens (the sloping hill on the right side of the driveway). It looks different but still radiates 'home' and 'contentment' from the moment I turn onto the top of Clara Barton Drive.
