Croatian Vacation Explained

Our time in Croatia was short, only three days. It was just enough time to take a tour of the Wall City in Dubrovnic and do some shopping. We also spent some time on the beach. The 1st time we visited the beach it was in the late evening and the cliffs shaded the water from the sun. This made the water seem very cold. As painfully cold as the water was, it wasn't as painful as standing on the beach, which is made of sharp pointy rocks. So into the water Daniel - brother in law - and I went. The next day, when we went in the morning, the water seemed more temperate due to the sun's rays. Dawn and I joined Monica and Dan on a swim out to a small alcove in the rock wall were we hung out for a bit before swimming back to shore.

While we were sad to leave, traveling to and from was a real treat. We went through some gorgeous lands - valleys, mountains, hamlets - all of them made the 5 hour trip barely noticeable.
