Country Roads

Saturday we took a small road trip out to Winchester, Va. Our main goal was to visit the historic section of that town and drive through some of the cities along the way. We had a good time in historic Winchester. We saw the new building that the company I work for bought, we had some lunch and did some shopping. The wife found a set of theatre chairs that she desperately wanted, but the price - $250 was too much to bear - so they were left behind. We also drove through Gainesville and Haymarket. In Haymarket we stopped for some slurpees at a 7-11. That brought back memories of our 'dating years' when slurpees were the driving-around snack of choice. Even though nothing of significance came from the trip, it was nice to be out and about seeing the sites of a Virginia I rarely visit. The previous weekend we simply lounged around, recuperating from our return to the states, so this was an enjoyable chance of pace for us.
